How does it works?

NeoGen PSR uses nitrogen plasma energy to gently heat the deeper layers of your skin. This stimulates collagen production, tightens existing collagen fibers, and promotes the growth of new, healthy skin cells. The result? Smoother, firmer, more radiant skin with minimal downtime.

During your NeoGen PSR treatment, the surface of the skin is heated up with a device that delivers energy pulses to the skin’s surface. Immediately after the treatment, your face appears red, and then it will change to brown over a few days and a thin layer will flake off on its own. Any contraindications to NeoGen™ PSR?

Yes, the contraindications for Laser Hair Reduction include:

Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Patients with Electronic Implants.
Patients who have Vitiligo.
Patients who have a history of Keloid formation and hypertrophic scarring.
Patient is on Immunosuppressive therapy.
Patients with long-term use of Topical Steroids.
Age of the patient is under 18.
Autoimmune diseases with active symptoms.
Patients taking oral retinoids (isotretinoin)
Last use must be 6 months prior to NeoGen™ treatment.
Unprotected sun exposure within (4 weeks) of treatment, including tanning beds or tanning products, such as creams, lotions and sprays.
Lifestyle related to potential downtime.

What should I expect post treatment?

Post treatment you can expect the following:

7 to 14 days of downtime depending on the intensity of your treatment
Acne-prone patients may experience acne breakouts post treatment
Aquaphor will be applied to the treated area immediately after the treatment. You will not wash the area for 24 to 48 hours.
Area needs to be kept clean. No sweating for at least 72 hours post treatment.
Swelling is possible and common after the treatment. The swelling that is normally expected is usually proportional to the depth of the treatment.
Your skin will begin to wash or peel off and will become red over the first few days and remain red for a week, will then gradually fade to pink, and then over the next several weeks will normalize. Some individuals progress quickly from red to pink while others may take weeks or months in some cases.
After the crusts are gone the “greasy” creams will be stopped. At this time we recommend using a hypoallergenic moisturizer.

When can I expect to see results and how long will they last?

While some results may be almost immediate, your best results usually won’t be visible until three months after the procedure as it takes this long for new collagen to generate. Results can last up to a year.

How many treatment sessions will I need?

The number of treatments will depend on the intensity of the treatment and your desired results. Your provider will discuss and customize a treatment for your individual needs. For low energy treatments, we recommend three treatments spaced 3 weeks apart.

What are the complications I should be aware of post treatment?

Complications, though rare, can occur and should be discussed and understood. The patient must understand the importance of the post care instructions, and that failure to comply may increase the potential for complications.

Short-term effects may include reddening, mild burning, temporary bruising, blistering or bleeding.
